I am located in Silver Spring, Maryland offering telehealth at this time.

Online therapy is not that much different from in person therapy for most people. In the comfort of your own home, you can log on to access the link to the HIPAA compliant teletherapy platform. Online therapy has been especially helpful to postpartum moms and those that work away from home.
I am licensed in Maryland, and can only see clients who are located in Maryland. Being online means you will need to secure a private space to ensure your confidentiality. There are some risks such as technology failures of all kinds. I have a back up telehealth platform, but if we lose electricity or the internet, I will just call your phone to finish the session.

For Aetna and United Healthcare, I use Alma to manage verifying insurance, submitting claims, and processing copay and and deductibles.
I do not accept any other insurance at this time.
If you would like to opt-out of insurance, my fees are $200 for an intake session and $175 for a 50 minute session.

During the first appointment, I will spend about 10 minutes reviewing consent information and my practice policies and make sure you understand all the information and ask any questions you have. Then, I invite you to share with me what has brought you here today with me and how I can help. I will ask questions along the way and toward the end, ask you about your history that might be having an impact on your struggles. I will then invite you to consider what changes or shifts you would like to see in yourself as a result of coming to therapy and we will use that as our guidepost of progress.

The length of time a client spends in therapy is based on their individual needs. Some clients are in therapy for a few months, some clients over a year. I check in periodically to ask how clients are feeling and about their progress and if they are feeling better, they start going biweekly, then monthly and then come as needed.
